The Springfield Avenue Partnership,
manager of the Springfield Avenue Special Improvement
District, was established to create a stable,
diverse and friendly commercial district that
provides for the needs of the local community
and brings new visitors to the shopping district.
As a non-profit corporation, the Partnership
is governed by a board of trustees comprised
of business and property owners, residents
and municipal officials.
The Partnership sponsors and
coordinates marketing and promotional events
for the Springfield Avenue business district.
It also provides matching grants for façade
improvements and retains a maintenance firm
to clean sidewalks and public areas and a landscaping
company to maintain the streetscaped areas
as well as the flower planters. The Partnership
conducts business related workshops, publishes
a business directory and newsletter, maintains
a database of available commercial space and
utilizes this web site to highlight Avenue
activities and businesses. |
