  • Streetscape Construction has been completed at the Indiana and Boyden intersections and is near completion at Vermont. Construction is now underway between Boyden and Burnett.
  • 40 additional planters have been installed to continue the process of "greening up" the Avenue.
  • Todd Lamb and the Department of Public Works planted trees along the Avenue this past spring.
  • The Church of Latter Day Saints (1600 Springfield Avenue) is under construction.
  • The new police and municipal court facility on the Avenue is under construction with completion on target for fall 2007.
  • Springfield Commons at the former site of Orange Mattress, 1733 Springfield Avenue, is almost complete with many condo units already sold.
