- Streetscape Construction has been completed at the Indiana and Boyden intersections and is near completion at Vermont. Construction is now underway between Boyden and Burnett.
- 40 additional planters have been installed to continue the process of "greening up" the Avenue.
- Todd Lamb and the Department of Public Works planted trees along the Avenue this past spring.
- The Church of Latter Day Saints (1600 Springfield Avenue) is under construction.
- The new police and municipal court facility on the Avenue is under construction with completion on target for fall 2007.
