After four years on the Avenue, a new, central location for this tutoring success story.
April 25, 2012
Good news for local, small businesses is not just confined to Maplewood Village (read aboutCrane's Dinner to Go or soon-to-open businesses Sweet Relish and The Laurel).
Springfield Avenue also has something to crow about.
On April 21, Maplewood Mayor Vic De Luca and Deputy Mayor Kathy Leventhal cut the ribbon at Elite Tutoring's new location at 1877 Springfield Avenue with business owner Edward Fullerton and director Ingrid Fullerton.
Elite Tutoring celebrated four years of services on Springfield Avenue when they moved to this new location in March. Formerly near Boyden Avenue, Elite has moved closer into the Avenue's central "node" near Prospect Street — an easy, walkable location for parents with Edo's Quality Cakes, Topf's Pharmacy, Dancers Pointe, East Wok, KnitKnack, Shakti, The Gym, HLS, Parteazand other family-friendly businesses nearby.
Fullerton is a certified math teacher with a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. Elite Tutoring uses a variety of modalities to support the visual, auditory and kinesthetic learners in opportunities to use higher order thinking through inquiry and analysis.
(And we need tutoring just to understand that last sentence!)
