The Springfield Avenue Partnership wants to remind all Avenue restaurants and cafe's that the Township offers an outdoor dining license. To encourage use of this license, the Township has waived the $100 application fee and urges those that have not yet applied to call Bob Mittermaier at the Township Building Department for more information. 973.762.8120 |

Efforts to extend free parking on the Avenue for customers and visitors to Springfield Avenue businesses from one hour to two hours are underway!
The Township Committee - at the urging of district business owners and the Partnership and in consultation with the township's planning and public safety personnel - will introduce an ordinance increasing the current one hour of free parking along the Avenue to 2 hours. The change is in response to requests from district business owners and community residents who need more time for the many personal services offered by district businesses.
The Township is introducing the ordinance Tuesday, July 20. The ordinance will increase time limits on parking on Springfield Avenue from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. all days except Sunday. A public hearing will be held in Town Hall at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 3d.
For further information, feel free to call Meryl, Beth or Don at the Partnership at 973-763-6011.
Just a Reminder......when customers and visitors to nearby commercial districts are faced with 'feeding a parking meter, Springfield Avenue continues to offer free parking.
Another reason to shop the Avenue.
