Sample the quality, variety, & hospitality that make Maplewood’s restaurants so unique and popular during Maplewood Restaurant Week, Mar 3 – 9, 2013.

Maplewood’s community of award winning restaurants & eclectic eateries will serve up fine dining, casual dining, take-out, & specialty foods. You’ll find out why the New York Times refers to Maplewood as “a town overflowing with interesting restaurants.” (NYT; 12/23/12; NY Region; NJ Dining | Maplewood).

In addition, merchants are supporting Restaurant Week by offering discounts on everything from flowers, wine, gifts & cooking books to enhance your local dining experience. It’s our way of adding a little twist to the traditional Restaurant Week! A downloadable coupon will be available here in late February.

Township of Maplewood Kicks Off Business Recruitment Campaign

Township of Maplewood Kicks Off Business Recruitment Campaign

Maplewood Township retained a retail market consultant (JGSC Group, LLC) to assess our trade area, and recommend/implement a retail recruitment strategy designed to take advantage of our various redevelopment opportunities, the unique characteristics of the Village section, and the Springfield Avenue business district. After several visits to our town, interviews with some of our merchants, and a review of our economic data, the consultant has reached conclusions and provided recommendations to the Township's economic development committee.

On November 26, 2012, the Township launched a business recruitment campaign with a presentation to local business and real estate community.
