Springfield Avenue Merchant News for May 20

Springfield Avenue Construction:
Note: all dates are approximate and depend on weather conditions.

Curb and Street work: Removal and replacement of curb will continue this week on the north side of Springfield Avenue in the vicinity of Colgate to Tuscan. We've asked that the "No Parking" zone be reduced ahead of the work.

American Water work: Next week, they will begin the watermain and pipe replacements in the 1400 to 1700 blocks. The work schedule can be found here. This will require digging into street and sidewalk and will have a disruption on area traffic and parking.

Farmers Market
The Farmers Market returns Monday, June 2. It runs every Monday from 2-7 pm, from June 2 - Nov. 24, at 1662 Springfield Avenue (near the Springfield Gazebo).
Springfield Avenue merchants are invited to vend at the market! There is one spot for Springfield Avenue merchants on a rotating basis, at no cost. To book a spot, please email Herminia Davila at HDavila@maplewoodnj.gov

A-Frames
Businesses are encouraged to place an attractive a-frame (sandwich board) in front of their businesses to communicate with their customers.
The limit is one sign per tenant and only in front of your business.
Signs should be made out of metal or wooden materials that can withstand various weather conditions.
Do not block the sidewalk.
Signs must be taken in at the end of business hours each day.

Be neat, artistic, creative! The sign reflects your business.
