World Cup 2026 – NJ/NY Region
As you know, the NY/NJ region is gearing up for the 2026 World Cup. As excitement builds over the coming months, SAM and the Township would love to help businesses promote World Cup tie-in events.
Examples of events could include:
- Game-watching parties or extended hours for match days
- Country-themed specials (food, drinks, retail displays)
- Window decorations celebrating participating nations
- Limited-edition merchandise or small flags
- Family-friendly soccer-themed activities or giveaways
If you’re planning something, big or small, please let me know. I would love to help share it through our marketing and the Township has offered to create a World Cup Township landing page on their website to share World Cup related events all over town. Looking forward to hearing your ideas and working together to make the most of this exciting opportunity for our business district.
The remaining qualifying matches will be played in March: (schedule here)
The World Cup itself runs from mid-June to mid-July and the majority of the games will be show on network TV (FOX) so no special TV package is needed. (schedule here)
